The Studio
Designing gardens that evolve with time
Zoe Claymore is the garden and landscape designer behind this close-knit team. She is passionate about creating planting-led, ecologically rich gardens across the UK. The team provides ongoing garden stewardship across the boroughs of Richmond, Kingston and Elmbridge.
The studio’s work is rooted in the belief that gardens should feel both refined and deeply connected to the natural world. Each project is shaped not only by its surroundings and architecture, but also by the people who will live within it, creating gardens with a strong sense of identity, atmosphere and personal meaning.
Combining spatial design, detailed planting and ecological thinking, the studio creates outdoor spaces that balance beauty, biodiversity and practical daily use. Gardens are approached as living systems rather than static compositions, designed to evolve gracefully over time and foster a lasting connection between people and place.
Zoe works alongside a small design and horticultural team, allowing projects and ongoing stewardship to be delivered with consistency, care and attention to detail.
Alongside private commissions, Zoe has designed award-winning gardens for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival for The Wildlife Trusts’. Both of these show gardens were recognised for their immersive planting and environmentally conscious design. Zoe was also named a RHS Horticultural Hero in 2023 for her work promoting gardening to those in rental accommodation.
